his case come from our a client.Mr T. he is a repair engineer.
Mr T buy a Asus A7T motherboard from us.
When this motherboard reach to hand of Mr T,he find the CD-ROM port have be lost.so he wrote the first email to me. He said” Mr. Jeff Wang, I am sorry to write again but unfortunately the motherboard Asus A7T who sent me does not work.
The problem of the attack of the cd-rom I solve and I inserted the plug and everything works fine.
The only problem, and is ‘the most’ serious and that the motherboard in the bios sees the hard disk, you see the cd-rom, sees the memory, but when it goes to load windows xp for a while and then crash.

1.when you plug the CD-ROM,maybe you unintentionally damage the Resistance-capacitance.because the CD-ROM interface is closely with HDD interface.
you can contrast this motherboard with your old motherboard.
2.the motherboard in bios see the hard disk,why does not find the hard disk even?
3.the Asus CD-ROM is easyly bad for you unpin and plug it several times,did you try to change others CD-ROM?
the CD is Restore CD ?the CD is perfectly ? or you try change other one.
if you have USB CD ROM,you can use it and install XP OS.
”
After the problem is still not resolved.,Until Mr return this motherboard to our office.
I took this bed motherboard to meet our engineer and study the problem.
we Overlooked one detail.
Mr T said “The problem of the attack of the cd-rom I solve”in his first email.he weld a CD-ROM port on this motherboard by heself.
Our engineer check the CD-ROM port contrast circuit diagram and find all Resistors have been lost when Mr T add a CD-ROM port. This creates the CD-ROM not work.
We weld Resistors on motherboard again then test motherboard.
This time,motherboard work well.
